"Thank you for your purchase of this 1930s evening gown "Serph". It was made for my new shop in the Serph City sim. I'm excited to say it is also the first in my line of 1930s clothing! You have such good taste! Now about this gown . . .Serph is singular for serphim, or angels. When I was looking through 1930s gowns I saw this one and knew right away this was my Serph gown. This gown is made of silver lame and ostrich feather boas and based on a real 1930s gown.  Whatever use you put this gown too, it's gorgeous and fun. The undergarments are period to the gown and made of satin and lace. The stockings are hand done by me, but based on stockings of the era. Ladies, if you want to take a picture of yourself in this smashing gown, and then drop me a copy of the picture with your name on it, I would be thrilled! I always love seeing where a gown is worn.

Layers and layers of luminous, faceted gem like sheer fabric creates the flowing skirts of this gown, which can be worn long or short. The sheer gathers are highlighted with embroidered trim, and the skirts are caught around the waist with an asymmetrical wrapping of silk, gathered on the hip and tied with multiple loops before trailing sensually down one thigh. The bodice is strapless, and cut low across the bust, and lower in the back, detailed with a gathered trim. A sheer pointelle stiff lace encircles the shoulders, back, and chest with an elegant sexiness that just begs to be unwrapped. It is tied at each shoulder with long flowing ends that show off the subtle polka-dot and swirl sheer lace pattern. The outfit is designed to look beautiful with or without the flowing bustle. With the bustle, the look is high fashion, victorian … take off the bustle and the silhouette is more slender, ready to be worn at just about any formal occasion. There is also a tea-length skirt that hangs just below the knee in layers and layers of sheer lace. The tea length outfit can be dressed up or down with the wrap, and the matching elbow-length gloves of gathers of more beautiful shimmering fabric. The lace stockings, and coordinating panties finish off the look, making this a fabulously precious outfit from head to toe.

The Gown by Oscar de la Renta collection spring 2010. You don't have to wear white on your wedding day. That's what we think anyway, and from the looks of the collections this season, so do many top designers. And we're not talking colored sashes and floral embellishments. Instead, we saw large swaths of colored fabric playing a major role in the gown's overall design, from subtle pastel chiffons to lusciously saturated silk taffetas. Blush pink, silver, and pale blue have been bridal-friendly for a while now, but this season we were pleased to see shades of yellow, purple, and green make their debut. You'll see that some of our favorite designs are more radical than others, but even a whisper-soft wash of color can take you from looking good to looking absolutely radiant.

Levi Strauss & Co. (LS&CO) is a privately held clothing company known worldwide for its Levi's brand of denim jeans. It was founded in 1853 when Levi Strauss came from Buttenheim, Franconia, (Kingdom of Bavaria) to San Francisco, California to open a west coast branch of his brothers' New York dry goods business. Although the company began producing denim overalls in the 1870s, modern jeans were not produced until the 1920s. The company briefly experimented (in the 1970s) with employee ownership and a public stock listing, but remains owned and controlled by descendants and relatives of Levi Strauss' four nephews.
